Dr. Anderson is an effective, engaging, and dynamic psychologist, coach, speaker, and consultant. Doug is passionate about maximizing the potential of anyone he works with — and his enthusiasm and passion for life is contagious.

Doug has worked for over 20 years as a psychologist, school psychologist, consultant, and coach. He earned his Honors Degree in Psychology at the University of California, San Diego and his Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Anderson has received extensive training and developed expertise in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Behavior Management, Parenting, and Professional & Executive Coaching. Doug is certified as a Professional and Executive Coach by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.

In addition to extensive work with children and adults, Doug's professional experiences include teaching graduate-level courses for the University of Minnesota, University of MN Rochester Center, and Augsburg College, as well as applied research.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Doug is passionate about the research-proven strategy of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART — similar to EMDR) in counseling and coaching to quickly transform the lives of individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, fears, PTSD, OCD, decision-making, chronic pain, and other needs — frequently in one or a few sessions.

Dr. Anderson has presented at the International ART Conference and is currently a principal investigator on a grant-funded research project utilizing ART.

Doug lives life to the fullest in Minneapolis, MN with his two children (ages 17 and 19) and dog, Molly. He is passionate about his family, friends, and community.

He spends his free time outdoors — hiking, water sports, volleyball, and cross-country skiing. Doug loves to travel and experience new adventures, and brings that same spirit of curiosity and openness to his work with clients. He has personal experience balancing the demands of owning his own business while navigating the stress of family members with chronic health and mental health concerns.
